Ok, a brief post because I've been at work all day.
When an invasion occurs, the two sides set up their "Camps" in their secret forums. The commander announces himself and lists the participants under his command. The strategist then proposed one of three strategies:
-Flank Left
-Flank Right
-Direct Assault
Or, if you're on the defending side:
-Hold Left
-Hold Right
-Hold Center
The commanders then either approve the strategist's plan or makes their own changes.
Then the commanders assign "stances" to his subordinate officers. Stances are the types of attacks or defenses to be launched.
For attackers:
-Rush
-Probe
-Attack
For defenders:
-Ambush
-Counter
-Engage
If a player uses Rush, and then runs into an enemy which is set to Ambush, then the rusher will have just fallen head-first into an enemy trap, and will suffer heavy losses. A Probe would be needed to minimize the effects of an Ambush, but Probes are vulnerable to Counters. Attack and Engage are general and will result in more normal types of damage.
I will go into more detail if I need to, ask any questions you wish. Tomorrow (today) I will set up the camps and we can start tinkering with this new system. Oh, and the Bruneau Idea will be adopted, these are just additions to that.
